Poker Legends - Thuan Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is a true rags to riches story in the world of poker. In 1979, he fled South Vietnam on a tiny boat that ended up being stranded in the middle of the South Pacific. He and his family were rescued by a US navy boat and brought to the US. Penniless, he settled in the Chicago area.

AT the tender age of 21, he moved to Las Vegas and became a poker dealer. Picking up small tourney here and there to make ends meet, his true talent came alive.

His big break came he won the Omaha High-Low Split event at the 1997 World Series of Poker. In 1998, at age 35, he won the poker's world championship.
