Hand Ranking
Below, we have listed the poker hand ranking from best to worst.
Number one being the best ranking poker hand possible.
1. Royal Flush - This is an ace high straight flush.
2. Straight Flush - This is five cards of the same suit in sequential
order.
3. Four of a Kind - This is four cards of the same rank. The highest
ranking four of a kind will win the hand if there are two players
(or more) holding four of a kind hands.
4. Full House - This is three cards of one rank (tree pair) and
two cards of another rank (two Pair). The player with the highest
ranking tree of a kind wins if two (or more) players have a full
house.
5. Flush - This is when there are five cards of the same suit in
one hand.
6. Straight - This is when you have a hand with five cards in sequential
order.
7. Three of a Kind - This is when your hand contains three cards
of the same ranking. If two (or more) players have three of a kind,
the highest ranking pair wins the hand.
8. Two Pair - Two card of one rank, two cards of second rank in
one hand. Having two different two of a kind in one hand.
9. One Pair - This is when your hand contains two cards of the
same rank.
10. All five cards different ranks and different suits. Not a great
hand to have. This hand is common when playing draw poker with no
wild cards. If the highest ranking cards are the same rank (meaning
you have a tie between 2 players) -the next highest card determines
the winner and so on.
