Big name in sports to forge a comeback as poker
November 30
In the UK, online casino players have learned that an ex pro basketball
player is reinventing himself as a professional poker player. Former
Celtic player Tony Cascarino is hoping to carve-out a name for himself
in the ever popular world of poker. Not to mention that he would
like to win a ton of cash too.
A record signing player for basketball back in the 1990s, is backing
plans to build a super casino at Ibrox.
He flew to the island of St. Kitts with Scotland's only sponsored
poker player, Greenock's Tony Chessa in order to do business.
He became a pro poker player 3 years ago and was the outright winner
of a mini-series at the WSOP in Vegas earlier in 2005.
The pair of players have now been given £6500 each to take
on some of the world's best players for a pot of $2million in the
Caribbean Poker Classic.
Online casino players will be watching for sure.
