Poker Legends - Greg Fossilman Raymer

Completely recognizable due to his common use of unique, attention-grabbing eyeware, Raymer is a force to be reckoned with for sure.

He made poker history when he won the 2004 WSOP Championship (wearing the funky eyewear, too). By winning that particular event, the won the largest purse ever paid to a winner of a poker tournament.

He has a law degree and used to be a patent attorney. He started by playing poker online and has actually been playing online for quite some time. In fact, he earned his seat (at the 2004 WSOP) by playing online.

At the WSOP that year, he played very aggressive poker for four days before being crowned the winner. To this day, he is a player's player. Greg's nickname - Fossilman stems from his actual hobby of collecting. Many other poker players have even purchased his fossil card markers.

He was born in North Dakota and currently lives in Connecticut.
