Poker Legends - Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu is one of the most successful and promising poker
players of his generation. Originally from Canada, Negreanu dropped
out of high school to make a career playing poker. After moving to
Las Vegas at the age of twenty-one, Negreanu soon found out how
tough being a poker player can be. He returned back to Canada to get
his footing again, and less than ten years later won two events at
the World Poker Final held at Foxwoods in 1997.
In 1998, Negreanu became the youngest player to ever win a WSOP
bracelest (a record that was broken in 2004). And is if to say he
would up his broken record, Negreanus was named 2004 WSOP Player of
the Year and 2005 WPT Player of the Year. Negreanu has won two main
WPT events, three WSOP bracelets and has appeared at final tables
many different occasions.
Negreanu attributes his playing success to his ability to read
other people, although not even Negreanu can always read the
toughest of the bunch.
Daniel Negreanu is probably one of the most popular and well
known poker players today, largely due to this outspoken nature,
writing publications (including many articles and a book) and his
vlog on Full Contact Poker. Negreanu is also a member of the Poker
Stars team and can be found playing golf or high stakes games in
Bobby's Room at the Bellagio Casino.
