Below, you will find a complete list of the most commonly used
words, terms or phrases associated with this very exciting online
casino game.
Any craps: This is wager that the next roll will produce
a 2,3, or 12.
Any seven: This is a wager that the next roll will be a
7.
Back line: This is the don't pass line.
Back the bet: This is when you make the free odds bet.
Bar: This an indicator of which number is a push for don't
bettors.
Bet against the dice: This is when you wager that the shooter
will lose. A back line bet.
Bet with the dice: This when you wager that the shooter
will win. A pass line bet.
Big 6 or Big 8: This is a bet that a 6 or 8 will be rolled
before a 7.
Boxcars: A roll of 12.
Boxman: this is the casino employee that supervises from
the center of the craps table. This person is usually in front of
the chips at land casinos and between the two dealers.
Buy bet: This is a bet on a point number that is paid at
true odds.
Center bets: These bets are the proposition bets in the
center of the table that hold a large negative expectation for the
player. Not recommended.
Come bet: This is a bet like the pass line bet made after
the come-out roll.
Come-out roll: This is the first roll at the craps table
that determines the point.
Crap out: This is when a 2, 3, or 12 is thrown on the come-out
roll.
Craps: This is 2 ,3, or 12.
Don't come bet: A bet similar to the don't pass bet made
after the come-out roll.
Don't pass bet: This is a wager that the shooter will roll
craps ( 2,3, or 12) or not make the point before a 7 is rolled.
Double odds: This is an odds bet equal to twice the original
pass/don't pass or come/don't come bet.
Easy way: This is a roll of 4, 6, 8, or 10 made without
doubles.
Field bet: This is a bet that he next roll will be 2, 3,
4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.
Free odds: After a point has been established, players can
back their pass, don't pass, come, don't come wagers with with this
wager, paid at true odds.
Full odds: The max wager amount of free odds allowed.
Hardway: this is a roll of 4, 6, 8, or 10 made with doubles.
Lay bet: This is a bet that the shooter's point number will
not be rolled before a 7.
Line bet: A bet on either the pass or don't pass line -
required in order to throw the dice.
